喷淋塔又称为水洗塔、洗涤塔、净化塔；性质分为酸性洗涤塔、碱性洗涤塔；形状也可分为立式洗涤塔、卧式洗涤塔；材质又为分PP洗涤塔、玻璃钢洗涤塔等。喷淋塔也是常用的除臭设备，适用于所有大中型密闭或半密闭的间。恶臭气体经负压收集后，进入喷淋塔，通过一系列化学反应去除气体中的臭气分子。喷淋塔除臭效率极高，占地面积小，运行成本很低，可实现自动控制。产品外形观，根据不同场合，有单、两、三洗涤方式。
对于中段转运，除臭洗涤塔适用于转运泊位卸料口，或密闭式转运站的整个大厅。在实际中，一般在卸料口上方布设吸风口，恶臭气体和大量粉尘经负压管道汇集后，接入除尘设备和除臭洗涤塔。
除臭洗涤塔也同样适用于垃圾焚烧厂的臭气治理。由于恶臭气体在250℃—400℃下燃烧比较完全，所以焚烧厂的臭味源比较集中在卸料坑中。垃圾在卸料坑中会堆放停留一段时间，在这段时间内收集气体使周围间形成微负压，并有少量气流通，减缓垃圾含水率增加。在末端使用除臭洗涤塔集中处理负压收集的臭气，事半功倍。
用于垃圾场除臭，除臭洗涤塔适用于密封型的垃圾卸料大厅，大规模渗沥液调节池等臭气浓较高的间。
