1. BNQ do not have accredited labs list for compostability testing, but we required that the lab is accredited to ISO 17025 or recognized in the field. For example, OWS and AMC are labs that perform the testing required by our certification program (e.g. ASTM 6400, EN 13432). 2. If you are referring to distributors, only the manufacturing plant of the finished products can be certified. If for the same product using the same formulation you have different manufactures, each of them will need to be certified. 3. For each compostable product, I will need at least the following information: Unique identification of the compostable product; Composition of the compostable product (formulation): Supply source (the supplier’s trade name or corporate name) and the designation of each of the ingredients entering into the composition of the compostable product; Percentage of each of the ingredients entering into the composition shall result in a total of 100 % of all the cumulated ingredients; List of distributors of the compostable products, if necessary. According to price list (certification program CAN/BNQ 0017-088 is related to code B), all fees (excluding taxes and laboratory tests) to obtain BNQ certification and maintenance over 2 years period are as follow : $2250, for the undertaking of the certification process; $825, for issuing the certificate of conformity $1,500, for maintaining the certificate of conformity after one year; $1000, for the summary of the test results leading to certification; $2000, for each summary of the test results $500 for the Compost Council of Canada for the management of the Web site specific for this program
